5 common mistakes mothers make during prenatal period

If if u know everything about right eating habits, exercises and other ,there are still some chances of common mistakes that you are making during your pregnancy period.
so, here are some list of common mistakes women makes during their pregnancy.

# Eating for two: Your daily calorie requirement is roughly between 1800 to 2000 calories. Do you really think that a tiny fetus growing inside you would need those many daily calories to grow and develop? The answer is no. What your baby needs is the correct nutrition. The rule of thumb here is that, you need only 300 calories more than your normal calorie intake.
# Self medication: Self medication can have adverse affect on your pregnancy. Using over the counter medications, self medicating or undergoing harsh beauty treatments could lead to abnormalities in your baby.Remember you cannot self medicate at any cost during your pregnancy. Only take pills that are prescribed by your doctor.
# Lack of sleep: If you thought that sacrificing on your sleep can help you get a work-life balance, know that pregnancy is no time to play superwoman. The hormonal and physical changes that happen within your body during pregnancy demand more rest.If you have been sleeping for less than five or six hours in a day, its time you sleep more. Try by going to bed an hour earlier and waking up an hour later.
# Avoiding comfort foods:  If you have a sweet tooth, it’s a good practice to limit your sweet intake a little after the second trimester. Putting a check on your sweet intake will help you prevent the chances of suffering from gestational diabetes and other allied problems.
# Not exercising: If you are a ‘non-exerciser’ you will tend find excuses to sit back and relax. Not exercising during pregnancy can harm your body like no other. Exercise helps to combat stress hormones, boosts circulation, prepare the body for labour and delivery and help in fetal growth and development. Remember daily wear and tear is no substitute for exercise.Start exercising from the initial days of your pregnancy. If you are a beginner, discuss your plan with your doctor and how you should go about it.

Make sure leave a comment and tell me what do you think !

It's a very old fashioned idea that women need to be sedentary during pregnancy for the health of their unborn baby. Being fit doesn't means a big commitment. There are easy exercises which can be practiced in home itself but always consult your doctor before starting any exercise program.

lets get started:
# The first exercise is simple, stand parallel to the back of a sturdy chair with the hand closest to the chair resting on it, feet parallel and hip-distance apart.
With your toes and knees turned out to 45 degrees, pull your belly button up and in. Bend your knees, lowering your torso as low as possible while keeping your back straight [ as shown]. Straighten your legs to return to starting position.

# The second says to lie on your right side, head supported by your forearm, right leg bent at a 45-degree angle and left leg straight. Place your opposite arm on the floor for stability. Lift left leg to about hip height and repeat.
Then, bend your left knee and rest it on top of pillows for support. Straighten your right leg and lift it as high as possible for reps [as shown].repeat on both sides.
 # The third is to plank,Get down on your hands and knees, wrists directly under your shoulders. Lift your knees and straighten your legs behind you until your body forms a straight line. Don’t arch your back or let your belly sag [as shown].
